Go the Distance

I have often dreamed
Of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome
Would be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer
When they see my face
And a voice keeps saying
This is where I'm meant to be

I'll be there someday
I can go the distance
I will find my way
If I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile
Will be worth my while
When I go the distance
I'll be right where I belong

Down an unknown road
To embrace my fate
Though the road may wander
It will lead me to you
And a thousand years
Would be worth the wait
It may take a lifetime
But somehow I'll see it through

And I won't look back
I can go the distance
And I'll stay on track
No I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope
But I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance
And my journey is complete

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
For a hero's strength is measured by his heart

Like a shooting star
I can go the distance
I will search the world
I will face its harms
I don't care how far
I can go the distance
TillI find my hero's welcome
Waiting in your arms...

I will search the world
I will face its harms
TillI find my hero's welcome
Waiting in your arms...

A Blind Girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she's blind.

She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He's always there for her.

She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she can see everything, including her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, "now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend is blind too, and refused to marry him.

Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying. "Just take care of my eyes dear."

This is how human brain changes when the status changed.

Only few remember what life was before, and who's always been there even in the most painful situations.

Life is A Gift.

Today before you think of saying an unkind word - Think of someone who can't speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food - Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife - Think of someone ho's crying out for a companion.

Today before you complain about life - Think of someone who went too early to heaven/hell.

Before you complain about your children - Think of someone who desires children but they're barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn't clean or sweep - Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive - Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job - Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another - Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down - Put a smile on your face and thank --- you're alive and still around

Life is a gift- Live it, Enjoy it, Celebrate it, And fulfill it.

Sign of BAD CIOs

1. They overpromise and underdeliver.

2. They can't sum up their IT strategy into an elevator speech, nor can they articulate the company's vision.

3. They don't take ownership of critical issues, nor do they demonstrate accountability for problems, but they're quick to take credit for successes.

4. They can't motivate their staff and don't pay attention to building teams inside the IT group.

5. They can't attract and retain IT staff.

6. Instead of working on projects that make meaningful contributions to the company's bottom line, they focus either on projects that will look good on their résumés or on sucking up to executives by giving them Blackberrys and new laptops with wireless Internet connections.

7. They overemphasize project management to the point where 90 percent of the timeline for projects is given over to planning and only 10 percent to implementation.

8. They view project management as a waste of time.

9. They can't prioritize projects.

10. They give staff responsibility for projects but no authority, direction or support. When the individual and the project fail, they publicly berate the individual.

11. They espouse a different management practice every month.

Human Skill and Attribute (Part 1)

Everyone is unique, but some other attribute might be similar. Yet, it never exactly the same with the other person. How people think, present them self to the other, perception, behavior, communication, and other attribute greatly impact how good or bad of someone to certain area or field. But what is the main point here??? Everyone are given with subjective attribute where if we can convert it into number, the total is the equal to the other person. That is the Great One, Allah promises to us. This is the basic value once we were born and there is limitation to each of the attribute.

Everyone can sing, but not everyone has a good voice and knows how to control it to become a singer. It is the same thing applied to other skill such as drawing, writing, sport activities, communication skill, cooking, etc. Why we need to learn the same thing as the other in the school? If what I’m saying is truth, there is no point in furthering study at higher education level if we a re not given a skill to learn something. THAT IS TOTALLY WRONG!!! Even thought we are not given with the skill once we were born, yet we can still reach at certain level. That is what I said about limitation on above paragraph. Hence that is the reason why someone with great talent or skill remain in other area that there are expert for. Human are complex entity, not everyone would like to do what they can do, some rather do something that they can’t do in the beginning just because they have an interest in the other area.
